The Old Vicarage

The Old Vicarage was once part of the servants' quarters of a Victorian house. Now it stands alone as a one-bedroom cottage sleeping two, with its own small garden and access to some of the best walking country in the Peak District. Curbar Edge, Froggatt Edge and Baslow Edge are all within reach on foot, offering views across the surrounding hills. The Bridge Inn is a two-minute walk away if you don't feel like cooking.

Inside, the cottage has a living room with a woodburning stove, a kitchen with an electric oven and hob, and a double bedroom with a 4ft 6in bed. The bathroom has a bath with shower over it. A utility room on the lower ground floor contains the washing machine. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included. There is private parking for one car and the property is non-smoking.

The location works well for exploring the wider Peak District. Eyam and Baslow are five minutes by car, Bakewell fifteen minutes, Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall both within twenty minutes. Buxton, Castleton, Hathersage and Matlock are all under half an hour away. A shop lies half a mile down the road.
