About New Mills Marina Campsite (Certificated Location)

New Mills Marina Campsite is a certificated location for caravans and motorhomes on Hibbert Street in High Peak. The pitches are well-maintained, and the site has showers with hot water and spacious toilet facilities. Staff are known for being helpful and friendly, particularly with guidance for those new to boating.

The real draw here is the setting: you are metres from Torrside Brewing, and the canal walks begin at the gate. Nearby towns offer shops and restaurants within easy reach. This is a working marina, not a field, so if you want to be close to the water and within walking distance of a proper pub and a brewery, it delivers on both counts.

What a lovely place to hole up for a few days. Nice location next to an idyllic, serene canal close to the lovely village of New Mills with the dramatic Torrs Valley to meander around. The site is a CL/CS staffed by ABC leisure people who are first class, Suzie is so nice and helped us out after we landed but had unfortunately booked the wrong site!! The toilet/showers are spacious and rustic with nice hot water to drown in after such a hot weekend. This site also offers holiday lets for those who would like to bring other family/ friends to join them. The oriental takeaway (Wings) down the road does amazing Chinese food at amazing prices & portions. The nearest chippie is closed but if you don’t mind a short mile walk to the village the chippie there is amazing and again cheap as chips (sorry)! Hope to return again, loved it.

We loved it ❤️. Well cared for cl site with all the amenities you want and cleaned and tidied every day while we were there, thank you to the friendly and hard working staff. Really relaxing weekend with pub only 8 mins walk 🚶‍♀️ really friendly, and there is something really nice about canal boats 🚢 and 🍻 walking along the canal to the next pub 😀. Enjoyed every minute 😀.

We hired a day boat from here. Overall we had an exceptional trip on the Marple branch. We were greeted by friendly staff and given an informative introduction to the electric narrow boat. All utensils and galley equipment are provided along with tea, coffee and milk. The boat was very clean and pleasure to board. You have time to have a wander around Marple and have a picnic moored up downstream. Overall a pleasant, peaceful and relaxing sunny day, it passed too quickly!

Really enjoyed our short stay here. Only 6 pitches which was great for our short stay. Showers are lovely and clean, staff were very friendly and helpful There was a spar shop within 10 mins walk which was good. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it
