Camping @ Croyde Bay

Just returned from a wonderful week at this lovely little campsite, returning for the 5th year. Stayed in our MH on a serviced gravel pitch. Tidy campsite, good facilities with little touches like hairdryers and straighteners. Covered washing up area with washing up liquid provided. 10 minutes walk to the amazing beach and less than 5 minutes walk to Croyde village where there are several places to eat and drink. If you’re wanting a peaceful well run quiet site to relax then this is the place for you! Can’t wait to return in 7 weeks 😁

Camping at Croyde bay was amazing. It was helpful that it was next to the surfing shop and had body boards and surfboards for rent. It was also waking distance from the town and the beach. The hot drinks from reception were handy…the hot chocolate was a hit with my kids. The toilets and showers were very clean and there were toiletries to use. The freezers were an added bonus with the stickers and sharpie too! These little gestures made it an easy and comfy stay. The bunnies made it a a beautiful sight! The ground was flat and grassy. The pitches a good size. It was nice that we could charge mobiles from reception. It was quiet at night time. The staff were very friendly. We would recommend staying there. ( two adults and a 10 and 12 year old).

Lovely campsite and would highly recommend for anyone that’s interested in enjoying Croyde. The beach is a 10-20minute walk down hill and they have surf boards for hire at the campsite, if that’s what you’re interested in. In the shower room there are also hairdryers and straighteners which made my trip so much more enjoyable. The only thing that I would say is a downside to this campsite is that there isn’t much privacy in the shower rooms.The toilets and shower rooms are separate in female and male but there isn’t locked cubicles just shower curtains and an open space for changing. Just me being picky as I don’t really feel comfortable changing around others, so I did use the family rooms to shower and change as the campsite wasn’t very bussy with families during my stay. Would still go again and I wouldn’t let that put me off.

Arrived early and was able to check in. There is coffee available at reception, you have the ability to charge appliances in reception and the site offers surfboard hire on site too. Loved the fact that the site is quiet, no music is allowed which is exactly what you want when you are looking to unwind, and you can simply relax. Facilities are excellent, showers are clean and have plenty of hot water, lots of room for getting changed, separate toilet block is clean, with soap and drying facilities a plenty, good washing up area which is under cover, automatic lights are in position so no electricity goes to waste. There is a recycling area for your waste by the check in reception hut. There is free wifi across the site which was great speed and didn't drop out, I had electric hook up and everything powered perfectly, the size of the pitch was big enough for my campervan and my awning with plenty of room to spare on the pitch size. The site is close to the beach, to the town and is very close to the bus routes. Stu and his team work incredibly hard on the site and its greatly appreciated, they're friendly and are happy to help. Before I had even gotten home I was already booking to return. Highly recommended.
