Large all-facilities park near Dawlish Warren with pools, fishing lakes and a pub

About Cofton Holidays

Cofton Holidays is a large, full-service family park tucked into a wooded valley a mile inland from Dawlish Warren, offering everything from grass pitches and hardstandings to glamping pods and statics. The facilities list is long: an indoor pool with hydrotherapy jets and sauna, a heated outdoor pool in summer, a pub, restaurant, café and chippy, plus fishing lakes, an arcade, bowling, adventure playgrounds and nature trails. It's resolutely aimed at families who want plenty on site, and the scale reflects that ambition—this is emphatically not a quiet field.

Reviews highlight the quality of the pools and the friendliness of staff, though some note the park can feel a little tired in places and pitches can be tightly spaced during peak weeks. Still, the location is a strong card: Dawlish Warren's beach and nature reserve are walkable, Exeter is twenty minutes away, and Dartmoor's eastern edge is within striking distance for day trips. Prices start around £22 for two but climb steeply in the school holidays, when early booking is essential. Dogs are welcome on most pitches.

We did a week in the Dart caravans with our 11 week old and dog and we all had a lovely time. Whilst there isn’t much around, there’s definitely trips out and lots more to do than you think! The entertainment was great, and always something on! And the indoor pool was great too, and very clean. We was gutted it wasn’t warm enough for the outdoor pool as it looks fab but we will be back next summer for this☀️ A few things about the static caravan we stayed in: They were very spacious and had lots of storage for clothes, even a walk in wardrobe, which was great! The fridge/freezer was big too so we got a full food shop and filled them for the week. There are speakers inside the caravan which you can connect to which were really good too! The dishwasher was a great help, and they even leave you some dishwasher tablets and we brought some with us too. They left us a little dog basket with blankets, poo bags and a dog bed too, which I thought was a lovely gesture 🐶🩷 Only couple of things I would say is that the twin room don’t have lamps, so this was really hard in the night as you’d have to put the big light on which was abit of a jump scare!🫣 I slept in here with my baby as the cot didn’t fit in our room, so we pushed the beds together and co-slept as I didn’t want to leave her in the kitchen/living room at 11 weeks old. They gave me a refund for the cot (£10) which was very nice of them! There wasn’t any frying pans which was annoying🫣 The radiators also need a-bit of a wipe down too, I didn’t want to put my clothes on them as they were very dirty! Other than that, we had a lovely time and will be back🥰

I visited friends who had booked a lodge (or caravan?) conveniently located near the overflow car park and reception. I was impressed it had a balcony and jacuzzi. The accommodation was spacious, tastefully furnished throughout and had a huge, very comfortable settee facing a huge TV. The kitchen was well equipped and functionally designed. I was only there a short time so my review is limited, but from what I saw, I would highly recommend.

We had been recommended this site by friends, so decided to have a look. Really nice! We only stayed for one night but throughly enjoyed our stay. Lovely clean toilet/shower blocks and the site itself was nicely kept. Had a lovely takeaway from the chippy and enjoyed the cabaret. We will go back again and take our bathers! Great value for money if you have an acsi card.

Just returned from 2 nights on a touring pitch with our motorhome. VERY well kept site and facilities kept very clean. Fantastic walks from the site through woodlands or the country park towards Dawlish Warren beach. Large enclosed dog field which our labrador loved. This is one of the largest sites we have ever stayed in but all the staff are really friendly and helpful and booking in was no hassle. Hope to return with our grandchildren as there are loads of things for kids to do. Great on site food establishments. Many thanks for a thoroughly enjoyable short stay.
