I just spent three nights at Combas Farm with my husband and dog. We were in the high fields and the views were outstanding. You could see over to Woolacombe in one direction and Croyde and Lundy in the other direction. All of the pitches are spacious and there is a lot of space around the site.We were blessed with incredible weather and walked the short distance to the dog friendly Putsborough beach a couple of times and into Croyde village daily. The showers and toilet block are excellent and I can confidently say that the rainfall shower in the first block is the best I’ve ever used at a campsite (or hotel). We made use of the charging points and fridges and freezers. So the toilets near the high fields are compost and the walk to the main block is long and steep. Don’t let this put you off. The compost toilets are brilliantly maintained and even in 30 degree heat they didn’t smell bad at all. They are so much better than chemical toilets which I really don’t like. Despite it being half term and the site being full, it still seemed quiet as there is so much space. Booking was easy and the owners were helpful and friendly.

Last weekend a group of old school friends and I travelled down from the Midlands to stay at Combas Farm, and from the very first interaction the service was absolutely 5‑star. Booking through the website was simple, and Sally was brilliant throughout. When I arrived on the Friday, Sally greeted me with a friendly smile, checked the booking, and even moved us to a quieter field away from families — a thoughtful touch that we really appreciated as a group of five lads. Dave then gave me a full tour of the site and facilities, all of which were spotless and top‑notch, before showing me to the field that would be home for the weekend. Our field had its own entrance, which meant we could come and go to the local pubs and beaches without disturbing anyone. The location is perfect — around 10 minutes to either a beach or three great pubs. You honestly couldn’t ask for more. Sally and Dave run the friendliest campsite I’ve ever stayed on. Nothing was too much trouble, and they even delivered firewood to us on their ATV for our campfire, which made sitting out under the stars even better. We’ll definitely be returning next year, and maybe for a longer stay. Thank you for having us.

Wow! Simply wow. Sally and the team have thought of everything to make camping here an absolute joy. Beautiful camping fields, great showers and toilets, wet kit room, fridge, freezer, washing up atations both indoors and out. Having the communal kettle made that first morning cuppa so quick and hassle free - and bonus points that your tea bags were Yorkshire - thank you! Our group loved our weekend together even though we had significant high winds and rain to contend with. We walked to Puttsborough Beach from the site, we played games and made memories together. We enjoyed seeing the highland cows and the fresh milk vending machine. We also loved being able to pre order sourdough and cinnamon buns from the local Crocodile Bakery who dropped them off on site on Saturday morning - delicious! As someone who isn't much of a camper, I wouldn't hesitate to return to Combas!
