Devon Yurts & Borough Barn may not be the usual location for business travel but by goodness it works! Trust me. I travel Countrywide using boutique hotels with outstanding service and hospitality. But this place is different. Very different. So much so I want to share with all business travellers. Be brave, take this alternative location and you will not be disappointed. Julia is an amazing discreet yet available host. There are no frills just honest, outstanding quality and genuine home grown offerings. Whether it be drinks, food choices or hand picked flowers from the farm. It’s there, all available to you, should you wish to accept. Never underestimate the strength of this incredible lady. A determined and strong woman, an inspiration to be around. Offering security and care with always a huge smile and a twinkle in her eye. Appreciate the generosity, not gushing or fake but genuine and considerate with a personality and delightful honesty. Please stay. Please stop and look around you and I promise you will feel calm like no other end of working day. I will return several times per yr, as always, and I shall return one day to celebrate with girlfriends and for a romantic vacation with my partner. But for now this is my place. The place I wish to share with you all who thought business travel could be such a drag. This location will remove those thoughts. I stayed at this beautiful yard barn for my birthday and it’s easily one of my favourite stays to date. The grounds are stunning, and the barn itself is cosy, warm, and perfectly done for a relaxing getaway. The people on the farm were so welcoming, which made it feel even more special. And Alba the dog completely stole our hearts! Such a memorable stay — I can’t wait to return.

We had a fantastic long weekend at The Yard over Easter. Our studio was super comfortable and had the most gorgeous views overlooking the hills. And it was dog friendly :) We also enjoyed the sauna cabin, the setting is so special. Plus, the breakfast with local produce was delicious and fueled us for our walks around the area. Thank you so much, Julia and family, for hosting us, we hope to be back soon!

We were lucky to have a late booking cancellation and this was truly the best gift for a bank holiday getaway. We were in the great links and loved every second of the secluded nature, although the walks to the fridge and shower eventually took their toll but still worth it. Hot tub eventually was a dream and overall the farm is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. We ventured out and highly recommend the wild swimming in widgery cross. Loved every minute and would definitely come back again. Thank you Julia.
