About Foxhole Glade
Turn back the years at Foxhole Glade, a wild, off-grid pop-up spread across nearly 20 acres of peaceful Devon fields and woodland. This is camping stripped to its essentials: pitch where you fancy, gather round firepits and the woods' fire circle, and wash in the stream – there's no running water on site, so come prepared. A compost loo, solar charging points (weather permitting) and a field shelter provide the basics, while rare temperate rainforest and culm grassland habitats make for fascinating wandering.
What the site lacks in luxuries it returns in freedom. Stargaze on clear nights, borrow wildlife guides and board games, string up hammocks or bring your own archery sets. Families can book mini bushcraft sessions to keep younger campers engaged. Forestry Commission walks start just down the road, and cosy village pubs lie within 10 minutes' drive. It's utterly peaceful, genuinely remote and refreshingly honest about what it offers – perfect if you're after space, stars and a taste of old-fashioned camping adventure.

Most beautiful campsite. Lovely views, quiet, lots of space and simple. Just a simple but clean and smell free compost toilet. No set pitches so you can pitch up where you fancy. I felt very welcome and loved chatting to the knowledgeable owner about the wildlife there. As a solo woman car camper I felt very safe and my dog enjoyed it too. Definitely be back!

A relaxing gorgeous spot in Devon with phenomenal views. Plenty to do if you are adventurous, but equally tranquil and peaceful for someone like me to just chill and take in the beautiful surroundings. The owners are amazing and go above and beyond with anything you need. Not far from where I live but it felt like I could’ve been anywhere! Definitely going to revisit! Highly recommended!!!

Beautiful spot with great views! Lots to explore actually on the campsite, but also a great location to hop across to dartmoor or north cornwall. Firepits provided and super cheap logs available too. Owners were lovely. Definitely planning on visiting again!

Absolutely lovely spot, and with a great view. Easy to access from the road, and plenty of camping space. Enjoyed the sunsets, tire swing, and many wildflowers in bloom - even got a glimpse of the namesake fox!
