Beaworthy sits in countryside between Ashwater and Holsworthy, with the North Cornish coast reachable within half an hour's drive. Meadowside Forge is a single-storey barn conversion built from the shell of a working forge, retaining original stone walls and exposed beams alongside modern comforts. The whole property is yours alone, arranged on one level with two bedrooms (one double, one with two singles), a bathroom with bath and separate shower, and an open-plan living space that combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas around a wood-burning stove.
The kitchen has an electric cooker, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, so you can self-cater through the week or just the occasional meal. An enclosed patio with garden furniture sits outside. Parking for two cars is on site. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; logs for the stove are provided. One dog stays free. The cottage is non-smoking throughout.
Ashwater has a pub; Holsworthy, eight miles away, has shops and a weekly market. From here you can reach Bude and Widemouth Bay for beaches and surfing, or drive further afield to Okehampton and Launceston. Several beaches nearby welcome dogs.

After staying at many holiday cottages meadow side forge is among the best of them. Very clean everything you need for self catering. Tash and Mike were very friendly and welcoming hosts. A welcome pack for both us and our dog. Will be definitely revisiting there.

Another great week at the cottage. This is the 5th year of going. I love this place. Natasha and Mikey perfect hosts as always. Welcome pack included.Everything that's needed is in the cottage. Spotlessly clean. Perfect place for those that want peace and quiet. Have booked again for next year.

Tucked away in the gloriously beautiful and peaceful west Devon countryside, not far from Okehampton, this is without doubt one of the best self-catering holiday cottages we've ever stayed at. The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need. I can't recall having ever spent time at a place that was so well maintained and catered, even down to providing dog treats and shampoo for those pooches that like to 'enjoy' themselves in the countryside. Tash and Mikey have created a beautiful and peaceful countryside retreat to enjoy.

We had a wonderful time at Meadowside Forge. So comfortable, with friendly hosts. We were able to relax and it was centrally located for many of the places of interest.
