About Glebe Caravan Park

Tucked just east of Bridestowe village and a stone's throw from Dartmoor's dramatic moorland, Glebe Caravan Park is a peaceful, family-run site that punches above its weight. The 20 or so pitches spread across gently sloping grass with sweeping rural views, and while facilities are straightforward—clean shower block, washing-up area, launderette—they're well maintained and perfectly adequate for a no-frills break. The miniature adventure course keeps younger kids happily occupied, and there's a welcoming, unpretentious vibe that regulars clearly appreciate.

Dartmoor's granite tors and hiking trails are practically on the doorstep, and north Devon and Cornwall's beaches lie within an hour's drive. The village pub serves decent local ales and hearty meals, with several more options along the nearby A386. Some visitors note the site can feel a touch tired in places, but for walkers, families after a quiet base, or anyone keen to explore this corner of Devon without paying premium prices, Glebe delivers honest, old-school camping charm.

On walking distance to Dartmoor. Very nice people around here and not to forgot a great pup down the road with perfect food for a decent price. (White Hart) The statics to hire are very nice. Also a few places for travelling trough (or longer stays). The campsite is very quiet, so perfect for elderly customers.

Stayed here over the bank holiday weekend. Really lovely little campsite. Mainly caters for caravans and statics but very welcoming to those wishing to stay under canvas also. The owners were really friendly and helpful on arrival. Pitches are flat, well turfed and private with hedging. The toilet and shower block is a bit rough and ready but is clean. If this was updated it would definitely get 5 stars. 5 minute walk from the village with a lovely pub. Great stay on the moors. Many thanks!

Used for years always clean tidy and friendly great location for sight seeing. Right on the edge of Dartmoor. Great for camping or a stay in the statics. Couple of good pubs within walking distance. Also the Highwayman is a must to visit.

You need your own transport to visit here, unless you don’t mind not being able to go far, as it’s quite out in the sticks. Surrounding is beautiful and very relaxing. Caravans are in good condition and clean. The village however is walking distance and has a post office/corner shop and lovely friendly pub which does great food.
