About Moor View Touring Park

Wrapped in tranquil countryside yet superbly positioned for both Dartmoor's high moors and the South Devon coast, this adults-only park delivers on its name with far-reaching views across open farmland. Pitches are genuinely spacious, all with electric hook-up and mains water, and many offer full servicing including grey waste drainage. Facilities are kept spotless – visitors consistently praise the immaculate shower blocks – and thoughtful extras include a comfortable TV lounge, games room with pool and table tennis, plus an excellent enclosed dog-walking field that earns particular mention from four-legged guests.

The atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming, with helpful owners on hand to point you toward Dartmoor trails, nearby beaches or South Devon's foodie hotspots. A mini-supermarket and quality pub are both a pleasant fifteen-minute stroll away, or you can arrange deliveries direct to your pitch. Whether you're here to explore the national park, surf the coast or simply unwind with a good book and those Dartmoor views, Moor View strikes a winning balance between rural calm and practical convenience.

Moor View, has everything you want from an adult only tranquil park , for rest and views. Revising after 6 years , not much has changed. Moor View doesn’t have the modern facilities, but the for dog walk dog field , tranquility and view , more than makes up for that. David was lovely and helpful on arrival, and throughout our stay. Perfect location out of the hustle and bustle to enjoy the wonderful surrounding beaches and villages ….. Recommend you visit the Ring Feeder farm shop and cafe up the road . You can book as they get busy on the weekends. Some road noise on the busy bank holiday weekend , but mostly you hear birdsong. Warm , very clean showers and toilets with background music. Cosy , pool room , tv and library . Hedges between most pitches, plenty of room on our XL pitch. Lovey big camping field. Walking distance (no path) is the Esso garage for essentials , and California Inn for food and drinks, not visited this trip so no review. Like majority of campsites sites in this area roads can be tricky , depending on your size and who’s coming the opposite direction.

Fantastic views and pitches. You bring your tent, caravan or just yourselves with the on site lodges. Peaceful and quite its an adults only site. Has free WiFi, a dog walking park if you want to bring your faithful friend. There is no on site shop. There is a Spar shop/petrol station and a gastro pub, The Cali Inn. It serves traditional cuisine. All within 400 yards of the site. Dartmoor National Park, Haytor Rock, is a short 30min drive via dual carriage way. Once off the road then it will become very narrow. There is an information Centre if you need guidance. Haytor Rock car park is pay and display. CAUTION If you are travelling here then please take extra care when on the B roads in and around the area. Don't speed! Also some routes Will be single track only.

Had a wonderfully relaxing weekend break here. The Staff were friendly and helpful. The toilet & shower block is well kept. There is a guest lounge with free tea & coffee, books, tv, games etc. The only downside was beyond the parks’ control…the weather. Unfortunately due to the excessive rains on the Sunday, there was a lot of standing water come Monday.

Spent 10 nights here on the grass/hard standing pitch in May 26 and I don’t normally leave reviews but felt on this occasion this site definitely deserved a review. On arrival we were greeted by Dave who showed us around all the facilities to familiarise us with the site and kindly walked us to our pitch on the grass field area and showed us the facilities there also. The pitch was extremely well kept and the grass is very well maintained. With the usual electric hook up, mains water and grey waste disposal. The main building has fantastic power showers, laundry room, refrigerators and was really well maintained and spotlessly clean. The chemical waste point is the cleanest one I have ever used with facilities to wash your hands etc. As an added bonus there is also a good pool table and table tennis table in the guest area these are FOC which we took advantage off on a couple of occasions. The site is located perfectly for us as we enjoy walking the moors along with visiting places such as Salcombe, Brixham, Dartmouth etc all in all we would like to thank Dave and Moorview for a great 10 days and we will see you again in September.
