The Popples

Couples and small families will find The Popples works well for a week or weekend away. This two-bedroom cottage sits on the Colmer Estate, where guests get use of an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, tennis court and games room alongside their own private base. One dog is welcome. The ground floor is open plan, with living, dining and kitchen space flowing together; upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with two singles—and a bathroom with bath and shower. The kitchen has what you need to cook properly: oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. There's a front garden with barbecue access, parking for one car, and the essentials of heating, linen, towels and wifi are all sorted.

The estate sits near Modbury and Ivybridge, in rolling South Devon countryside with a 28-acre lake on the grounds. No smoking indoors, and check-in is after 16:00, departure before 10:00.
