About Riverside Caravan and Camping Park
Riverside Caravan Park sits in the Plym Valley at Marsh Mills, bordered by the River Plym and ancient woodland yet only a few hundred yards from the A38 and around three miles from Plymouth's centre. That combination of a genuinely green, riverside setting with quick access to the city makes it one of the more convenient options for anyone wanting to explore the Hoe and Barbican without staying urban, while remaining close enough to Dartmoor and the South Hams for day trips further afield.
Open all year, the park takes tents, touring caravans and motorhomes on level, well-drained pitches—many with electric, some fully serviced on hardstanding. There's no static accommodation or glamping, keeping the atmosphere firmly geared towards touring visitors. A children's play area, dog park and wheelchair-accessible facilities add to the practical appeal, while the riverside and woodland bring good wildlife-watching. An on-site restaurant and takeaway mean you needn't venture far for meals, though the park can feel more functional than boutique in places.
Its position just off the A38 makes it an easy overnight stop for anyone heading deeper into Cornwall, as well as a practical base for Plymouth itself. Special rates are available for longer stays outside peak season.

First visit and didn't disappoint. All staff really helpful and friendly. Pitch was well kept and very spacious. Fishing was great,covering beginnersand the more experienced.Food in the reasonably priced and tasty. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to return.

We store our caravan here and have been here many times over the years. A lovely clean site, toilet blocks are clean and showers also very good, site is well maintained and always clean. We came down in our motorhome this weekend though as I have recently had surgery and it was easier for me to get in and out of this. Pitches are a good size, enough room between pitches and the staff on site are always friendly. We ate in the club house one evening and had a carvery on the Sunday too. Food was delicious and piping hot. It would be nice to have more veggie options but that’s not a complaint just merely a suggestion. Drinks are good prices and the entertainment was good on the Saturday night. Dog friendly site and dogs welcome in the club house too. Nice dog walks too. We enjoy coming here to unwind and our 2 teenage children enjoy the break too. There isn’t much for teenagers to do but we go out for days and that is always nice for us all. Highly recommend this site. Great base for exploring North Devon and clean site with friendly staff. We will be back in May BH all being well with a few other families too.

Just got back from a lovely long weekend away. What a great campsite very helpful and friendly staff lovely food never had a bad meal Drink prices are good and they have some great entertainment on loads to do for the whole family We will be back for the 80s weekend next month 👌

We stored our touring caravan at Riverside for almost 9 years and only left when we recently moved house. Riverside is fantastic! It provided us with safe storage in an ideal location right next to the North Devon link road which enabled us to pick up the caravan on our journey from Bristol and visit touring sites in North Devon and Cornwall. Joe and the team are always welcoming and helpful. Prices are reasonable and they did not charge us extra to get the caravan out of storage either to take off site or use their all year serviced hardstanding pitches, where they even level your caravan ready for your arrival! The on-site clubhouse serves great food and drink and has local bands for fun evenings! It is with great sadness that the location no longer suits our needs. Riverside we thank you.
