About South Ford Farm Camping

Tucked away near Clapworthy, South Ford Farm Camping delivers the kind of rural Devon experience families remember fondly. Spacious pitches feel genuinely private, scattered across grass and gravel with optional hook-ups, and the facilities punch well above their weight—hot showers, spotless loos, and a family wet room that parents particularly appreciate. Two shepherd's huts (Willow and Olive) offer an alternative to canvas if you fancy it.

Children have the run of a play park, riverside sandpit, and the daily sheep-feeding ritual, which seems to be the highlight of most stays. The owners strike that lovely balance between attentive and unobtrusive, creating a relaxed, welcoming vibe. Campfires are allowed, dogs are welcome, and there's WiFi if you need it—though you might find yourself too distracted by the bleating entertainment to check your phone.

Beautiful campsite! You can clearly see the love and effort that goes into the up keep of the site! We had a view of the sheep and two pigs which was lovely to watch. Chris was Brilliant, very welcoming and accommodating. We were invited to help feed the sheep which is a lot of fun for any age! Thank you so much for a lovely stay, we recommend this sight and can’t wait to come back!

A lovely, friendly campsite, great facilities, sizable pitches with long grass separating each one. Play area for younger children plus a badminton net/set and a football goal. The feeding of the sheep was an unexpected but great addition and so were the fresh eggs from the chickens. Chris and Tina are so friendly and can't do enough for you! There was everything here you needed for a comfortable camping trip. Loads to do locally and good suggestions from Chris. Thanks guys! We really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely site run by lovely people. Pitches are really nicely spaced and separated with long grass giving everyone a bit of personal space unlike some other sites. All the children on the site were allowed to bottle feed the lambs, there is a nice area with a badminton net and football goal and a small play centre as well as a sand pit. There is a covered seating area where campers can eat as well as benches dotted around the site. Only stopped for a one night stop over but a really enjoyable visit and will return when next in the area.

My family and I had a lovely time here this year. I loved the site, sat against a trickling river with a beach, with a children's play area and group tent with benches where we played board games and a small football/badminton area. Shared fridge/freezer, charging and WiFi as well as all the other amenities too. The owners couldn't have been more helpful to us and made us feel very welcome and happy. Couldn't recommend it more!
