About Roadford Lake Campsite

Perched right on the waterfront of the south west's largest reservoir, this 730-acre adventure playground delivers serious wow-factor scenery alongside a frankly dizzying menu of activities. Windsurfing, sailing, kayaking and paddleboarding are all on offer, plus high ropes and archery on land—kit hire and instruction available, or bring your own gear for a small fee. Modern facilities include hot showers, an undercover barbecue area and plenty of lakeside pitch options, from non-electric grass to hardstanding. Dogs are welcome on leads.

The licensed café is a half-hour walk along a waterside trail (one steep section, so wear sensible shoes), though you can drive there in minutes if the legs protest. Launceston's shops and several village pubs are close by for provisions. It's a gloriously scenic spot, though the trek to amenities won't suit everyone seeking convenience on their doorstep.

We had an amazing time camping here! The campsite is beautiful, and renting kayaks made our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place - 100%

Awesome place....lot of activities on offer... If you don't want to do any sports activities....then there is not much to see other than the site itself...but that's the BEST part. The "nothing to do" is the best thing if you want to just relax here...it's so peaceful and serene....you got to love this place. This was our second time here...and we hope to come afain.

Came for wing foiling on a weekday Friendly staff Lovely big lake Good facilities (the jet wash could do with board racking and some way to support a wing of they really want you to clean your equipment before going into the water). The wind was from the west which made it gusty, however, once past half way the wind shadow wasn't too bad. I'll be back, hopefully in a different wind direction.
