About Honeysuckle Homestead

Tucked into the Cranborne Chase National Landscape with 27 acres of National Trust land as its next-door neighbour, Honeysuckle Homestead puts you in striking distance of Wiltshire's showstoppers – Stonehenge is 20 minutes' drive, Salisbury Cathedral about 25. The site itself overlooks Dinton Park, whose circular trail threads through orchards, farmland and woodland past a Neo-Grecian house and a stretch of the Monarch's Way, King Charles II's 625-mile Civil War escape route. Two country pubs lie within walking distance (20 and 45 minutes respectively), and there's a shop in Fovant village for basics.

The set-up is straightforward and well equipped: heated toilets and showers, wifi across the site, a washing-up area and a launderette. Barbecues are allowed, and there's a dedicated dog park. Some visitors have found the facilities a touch tired in places, but the draw here is the scenery and walking – it's a proper walkers' paradise, remote and peaceful, ideal if you're after a proper countryside escape with Wiltshire's headliners on tap.

Booked this place for 2 nights. I was greeted nicely by the owner and she showed me around and explained things well. Room was clean and tidy with good amenities. I had to leave very early the second day (before breakfast) and she kindly offered to make me a sandwich and gave me crisps and water. Truely appreciated. Came back from my very early start for work and the room was restocked with coffee, milk pods and water. Very nice. Very safe place too. Highly recommend this please.

We really enjoyed our stay for our anniversary over a night. The place was tidy and maintained clean. The receptionist/owner was friendly and nice lady..near to Stonehenge and got a lot of places to walk around/ hiking

The location of the accomodation made it an ideal place to visit local places like Stonehenge etc. The room itself was nice, clean and with a decent shower. However, the trains running adjacent to the property are quite loud. Overall, I'd recommend it.
