About Sunday Box Hill Burford Bridge Hotel
Sunday Box Hill Burford Bridge Hotel is a two-storey property spread across 57 rooms, set right at the foot of Box Hill in Dorking. Its low, spreading footprint gives it the feel of a country retreat rather than a conventional town hotel, with gardens and a picnic area making the most of the setting beneath the hillside.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning, and family and accessible rooms are available for those who need them. There's a restaurant and bar on site, along with a snack bar, breakfast service, room service and kids' meals, so guests aren't tied to going out for every meal. The hotel also handles business services and meeting rooms, and takes on weddings, with concierge, laundry and luggage storage covering the practical side of a stay. Pets are welcome, and on-site parking is available for a charge.
The location suits walkers and cyclists, with Box Hill itself on the doorstep and further routes through the surrounding countryside, while Denbies Wine Estate lies nearby for those after a change of pace. Golf, pubs and restaurants in the area round out the options for anyone not keen to stray far from the hotel.
Guests consistently praise this hotel for its friendly and helpful staff, delicious food including a varied breakfast, and a fantastic heated outdoor pool. Its beautiful location near Box Hill is also a highlight for many visitors.
Some reviews mention the rooms can be poorly maintained.
