A group of us camped at Hurtwood hideout at the weekend and loved it. It’s a beautiful spot nestled in the woods with walking and biking trails direct from the site. A lot of the pitches had shade, which was very welcome in the hot weather and our whole experience was lovely. The facilities with a shower and toilet block outside and access to the hostel were great. The cafe bar on site was a real bonus. All the staff were really welcoming and Josh was super helpful with questions before we arrived. Some of the ground wasn’t the flattest but no problem, we had plenty of space to choose where to pitch. We enjoyed a walk over to Hurtwood Inn for food - service was perfect and there were plenty of dishes to choose from. We’re already planning when to come back!

My son did a 2-day mountain biking camp based at the Hideout in half term. The location is beautiful, tucked away in the forest and so peaceful and quiet (we were the only ones staying on the campsite while a few of the boys stayed in the hostel). Josh was amazingly kind and generous and went out of his way to look after us. Hope to return one day!

The team at Hurtwood are amazing! They are so helpful and genuinely great people! Had a great stay there, as well as some good hiking (thanks to the hike recommendations by the team).

Basic rooms but great position of hostel. Bike trails literally on your doorstep. Extremely helpful host; could not have done more to be helpful, friendly and obliging. The lady on the bar/reception was equally kind and welcoming! Range of food and drinks pretty limited; same with cafe opening times. But an excellent , idyllic and peaceful location.
