Absolutely fab family friendly campsite. Stayed here for the second time recently. Great facilities. Lovely accommodating team. Excellent space for families and children to play. The trains coming past is great and the kids loved it. Definitely hire a fire pit makes the evenings really special.

Amazing campsite! So much room to pitch up - with lots of open space to move. The toilets were always clean and fully stocked with toilet roll. Showers are 20p for 2 minutes and you can pay for as many minutes as you want. There's a little camp shop at the reception where you can get Tea, coffee and hot chocolate- as well as some snacks/ ice cream. The people that work there are so lovely and chatty. It's in an amazing location not too far away from anything. There's a train that runs through the site, you can hear it but not loud enough to cause disruption. Beautiful grounds and did not get too busy. Cannot fault it at all - definitely an amazing campsite.

Friendly and relaxed camping beside historic steam railway. Clean and simple. Fire pits available to rent, hot water showers, cold drinks and ice cream available from reception and a van selling bread, milk and pastries etc. comes every morning. Great for kids, no noise allowed after 10.00pm.

Great campsite with super friendly staff. It is a slopey site, but plenty of flat spots to find and I think it’s nicer to look at than a flat field. Facilities were fine, I heard a few people saying there should be more showers, but I think that might only be true at the very busiest times of the year. We never had to wait more than 5mins or so. Our kid loved the trains going by and my wife and I loved the fire pits provided at a very reasonable rate with plenty of logs to get you going. Would definitely recommend and hope we go back sometime.
