This was one of the best campsites Ive been to! Lovely, relaxed atmosphere, choose your own pitch, so peaceful and quiet. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and went out of their way to help when a piece of my equipment stopped working! The shop is very well stocked with everything you could possibly have forgotten to bring with you so really handy. Plenty of showers, toilets, water taps etc and beautiful walks straight from the site - the staff are brilliant at suggesting local places to visit. Thank you, I'll definitely be back!

We took our MH to this site for a few days to explore the area. The site is in a beautiful location with very large pitches. The site as a whole is tired and unkempt. The bin area was a mess with overflowing bins. In field 2 there is a large building where they store the machinery, unfortunately there is also old rusty machinery around the building. The hard standing pitches are partially overgrown by grass. The Toilet and shower facilities are old and in need of updating with main toilets in rusty trailers which have 3 steep steps for entrance to the cubicles, when wet these are very slippery. Avoid field 2! This site is popular for large gatherings of families and friends, on Friday evening we were surrounded by about 20 tents using the EHU pitches for their fridges and music systems. Loud music, football by our MH, excessive drinking and a total disregard for out pitch and space ruined our trip. The following morning the site was like a bomb site, rubbish everywhere. We felt intimidated and left that morning a day early.

Our favourite campsite for Swanage and surrounding areas - on this stay it was reasonably busy in the "1st" field (electric hook-ups), but still quiet enough to hear the birds singing. Facilities are well maintained, there's a small on-site shop open at set times during the day, and dogs are allowed in 2 of the 3 fields. The train from Swanage to Norden (& back again) goes by right next to the field approximately every 45mins from 10am till 3pm on the current timetable, but it isn't an issue for us as its nice to see the train (often a steam locomotive) and wave to the passengers.

I came here on my DofE (so no photos) and the campsite was amazing with a nice woodland area with a rope swing and great fields to camp and stay. The staff were also incredibly friendly and even let me put my ice brick in the freezer. I would love to come back soon however walking thy the driveway is incredibly long but the railway goes over it. Also you need 50p coin to have a shower.
