Alpaca Cottage
Dorset

Dorchester's pubs and shops are a ten-minute drive away, and the cottage sits within easy reach of Dorset's walking routes and cycling paths. The surrounding area is rural enough to feel genuinely remote—you can watch the local alpaca herd from the garden—yet accessible enough that a quick trip to town is straightforward when you need it.
Alpaca Cottage is a converted barn on one level, with a double bedroom, shower room, and an open-plan living space that includes a kitchen and dining area. The interior balances exposed beams with modern fixtures. What you get is functional: a properly equipped kitchen, heating, wi-fi, bed linen and towels all included. Outside, there is garden furniture, a barbecue, parking for two cars, and a bike store. One dog is welcome, provided it stays on a lead.
The layout suits couples or small parties who want a straightforward base for exploring the county without fuss. It's the kind of place where you can either stay quiet with a book and views across the valley, or step straight out the door onto footpaths and quiet roads.
