Bradstock Cottages - The Retreat

The Retreat is a listed country house in Burton Bradstock, a village on Dorset's Jurassic Coast. Half a mile from Hive Beach, it sits between Weymouth and Lyme Regis, within reach of West Bay's dramatic sandstone cliffs and the market towns of Dorchester and Bridport. The property sleeps 11 across five bedrooms—a mix of kingsize, super kingsize and bunk beds—spread over three floors, with four bathrooms including walk-in showers and a roll-top bath. It's yours alone for the duration of your stay.

The social space centres on a large kitchen and dining room where you can cook and gather; a separate living room with a 50-inch smart TV offers quieter refuge. Ground-floor bedroom one has an ensuite shower room. Upstairs, bedroom two and its ensuite occupy the first floor alongside bedrooms three and four, plus a family bathroom. Bedroom five, on the second floor, has its own ensuite. A utility room handles laundry. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. For those travelling with young children, a travel cot, highchair and stairgate are provided; dogs stay free and come with extras. The enclosed garden has patio seating, furniture and a coal barbecue; parking covers two cars. No smoking throughout.
