Downwood Vineyard

Downwood Vineyard is an eight-bedroom Victorian property set within 30 acres of grounds that include woodland, a small vineyard, and a tennis court. Sleeping up to 16 guests, it works as a retreat for large groups or extended families wanting their own space without leaving home. The house itself spreads across two floors, with five bathrooms distributed among bedrooms ranging from kingsize to pairs of single beds. Three bedrooms have ensuite facilities; the rest share the main bathrooms.

On the ground floor, two separate living areas—each with a 40-inch TV—open into a conservatory, and a dedicated games room holds a pool table and table football. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking, with an electric range, dishwasher, and separate utility room housing a washing machine and tumble dryer. Essentials including electricity, bed linen, towels and WiFi are covered in your stay, and the log burner in one sitting room has initial fuel supplied.

Outside, a heated swimming pool (5m x 4m, closed October to March) and private hot tub for six sit within a one-acre garden with patio and BBQ. Parking fits ten cars. One dog is welcome at no extra charge. The property is non-smoking throughout. Blandford Forum, a Georgian market town, is close by.
