Sherborne sits at the heart of a corner of Dorset rich with museums and market towns. White Horse Farm – Moley's is a single-storey barn conversion on the outskirts, part of a two-acre site with shared grounds, a games room, and access to woodland. The property itself is yours alone: a compact, ground-floor space with an open-plan living and dining area, a kitchen for self-catering, one double bedroom, and a shower room. A small decked patio opens onto the gardens. One dog travels free.
Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are covered. The kitchen has what you need to cook; the living area includes a television and DVD player for quieter evenings. Two cars can park on site. Sherborne, six miles north, has restaurants, shops, an abbey and a castle; Dorchester lies twelve miles south with its museums and attractions. The Potting Shed therapy garden is also nearby. The site does include a duck pond in the grounds, and there is a step up to the patio. Smoking is not permitted.

Our recent holiday in Moleys cottage was excellent, the cottage is very comfortable and has everything needed to make your stay pleasant. Our two dogs loved the paddock area, it is completely fenced off which is a comfort knowing that they can run around. The hosts Stuart and Audrey are delighted, on arrival we were welcome with fresh hen eggs and a delicious cake. The cottage was also supplied with tea, coffee, sugar and milk. Bed linen and towels were also included. White Horse Farm is a good base to go exploring from, highly recommend Cerne Abbas (great for dog walking) and Sherborne Castle. We will definitely be returning.

A great place to stay and ideal for exploring everything on offer. The accommodation may not be modern but it's clean reliable and offers all the essentials. A real cottage feel to the place. The hosts were friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. There's a pub right next door that offers fresh local food that has a standard hard to beat. Each and every day we explored the local towns and exhibits from Monkey World, Sea Life to museums, Dorchester, Yeovil and Weymouth to name but a few.

Thoroughly enjoyed the weekend break, it was the first family break with our dog Rosie. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by the couple that run the place, they gave us a tour of the place and gave us some chickens eggs and a delicious homemade lemon cake. The facilities were well equipped and they thought of everything, the place was clean and cosy and we absolutely enjoyed the cabin with the side garden and also the barbecue hut . We definitely would like to rebook in the future.
