Whitey Top Lodges - Cranborne Chase Stargazer

Cranborne Chase lies within an International Dark Sky Reserve, making this new lodge on Whitey Top Farm an exceptional base for night-sky watching. The mezzanine bedroom has windows angled for stargazing, and the private hot tub sits in the rear garden for the same purpose. Nearby, Salisbury Cathedral and the market town are within reach, along with Cranborne Chase itself—an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty spanning Dorset and Wiltshire with walking routes, villages, and archaeological sites across chalk downland.

The lodge sleeps four and consists of a ground-floor kingsize bedroom with shower room, and a galleried mezzanine bedroom upstairs. The open-plan living area contains a wood-burning stove, Smart TV, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. Essentials including heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi come with your stay. The hot tub is yours alone, heated and positioned to take in the dark skies; there is also a garden terrace and secure bike storage.

The property works best for couples or three adults; it is not suitable for four adults due to its layout, and children under seven cannot use the steep mezzanine stairs. No smoking is permitted. Two cars can park on the private drive.
