On the Douglas promenade, rooms are basic but spotlessly clean, stayed in a groups of 5 mates all had a room and price was fantastic as a group deal. Breakfast was good and more than we can eat. Owner was very friendly and helpful and will make this a great hotel (he only took it over recently). Would definately book again.

If you are after the Ritz Carlton luxury this place isn’t for you. If you are after a place that clearly prides itself on its cleanliness, a very comfortable bed, and a great nights sleep at very reasonable rates, with very friendly staff, then look no further!! Really happy with our stay.

Stayed for the weekend with my cousin. Super friendly host, who was really informative about the island, and gave us some good advice on how to spend our short time there. Would highly recommend. Very casual/laid-back and great value for money. Great location too!

The hotel is a quintessential Edwardian guest house that feels like a work in progress—in the best way possible. While the rooms are currently on the basic side, the proactive nature of the new owner is hard to miss. Having recently acquired the property, he and his team are clearly on a mission; the refurbishments are moving at a clip that suggests this 3/4 star spot won't stay "basic" for long. The self-service breakfast offers an impressive spread, but the real highlight was the thoughtful takeaway bag provided for our early ferry departure. Between the hospitality and the on-road parking convenience, it served as an excellent base for our four-night stay.
