About The Hydro Hotel

Rooms at The Hydro Hotel are simple and comfortable, with en-suite bathrooms, drinks available in room and the option of a sea view over Queens Promenade. Family rooms are available, along with room service, so there's flexibility whether you're travelling with children or just after a straightforward base for the night.

The hotel occupies a 1910 building in Douglas and keeps its facilities equally practical: a restaurant and bar on site, breakfast and packed lunches available, kids' meals catered for, and a lift for easier access to the upper floors. Laundry service and luggage storage are on hand too, and there's free WiFi throughout along with meeting rooms for anyone combining a stay with work. Pets are welcome, and free on-site parking takes the hassle out of arriving by car.

It sits around 0.6 miles from Douglas Central Beach, with golf, fishing, pubs and restaurants all nearby for those wanting to explore beyond the hotel itself. The overall feel is unpretentious rather than polished, which suits guests after a no-fuss stay on the Isle of Man coast.

Lovely experience at this Hotel. Its a bit dated but very clean with nice staff and very good meals. We are mainly veggie and whoever is in charge of catering takes a bit of time to be inventive and produced some lovely tasty options. No one in our coach party had a bad word to say about the place, very comfy beds too. Its 1 minute from beach, bit of a walk into main shopping area, but wonderful horse drawn tram stops outside, so if you don't want a lovely but longish walk that's a good alternative. Researched the tram and the horses are well cared for and not overworked, so thats a huge bonus too.

Just back from a coach holiday. The hotel although abit dated we enjoyed our stay there. Given a lovely room very spacious and overlooking the sea. The beds very comfortable ,clean and had plenty of sachets for teas coffee milk etc . The heating was good in our rooms . Meals always choices for starters, mains and dessert.Nicely presented and cooked to our liking ..delicious. The staff in all areas were so helpful and looked after us well. Good that cases were sent to our rooms and collected when departing. We were aware of the Hotel.accessibility with being 8 steps to entrance and 7 steps from lift to bedrooms when booking and although our mobility isn't great we managed ok as understood before hand about the accessibility.

We were part of a coach party. Hotel and staff amazing, our room was clean, well stocked and comfortable. Food excellent all tastes were catered for. Manx kippers by request at breakfast. Hallways and stairs a bit tired but still clean and serviceable. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
