Brae Cottage

Brae Cottage sits on a single level as you enter, with a living room warmed by a wood burner, a dining room, and a well-equipped kitchen where you can prepare meals. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a kingsize bed, one with a single—and a bathroom with a bath and shower. The cottage is yours alone, with wifi, heating, bed linen and towels all included, plus initial fuel for the stove.

Out back, an enclosed garden with patio and seating looks over the town toward Wigtown Bay. The garden is reached by 14 uneven steps with a handrail; these are not suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties. One dog stays free. Whithorn is a small working village with a couple of shops, a pharmacy, and a fish and chip shop, and has become known for its artists and makers. The surrounding landscape ranges from rugged coastline and sandy beaches to inland forest park and mountain bike trails. No smoking indoors.
