Cedar Lodge is a wooden house sleeping eight across four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Everything needed for a week away is here: the kitchen has a full cooker, dishwasher and washing machine; heating, electricity, wifi and bed linen are included; and the property is yours alone. Three cars can park on the drive, and a lawned garden with terrace overlooks the surroundings. Smoking is not permitted inside.
The layout puts all the main living space on one level—open plan living and dining areas with a woodburner, television and patio doors to the terrace. Three of the four bedrooms contain zip-and-link single beds that convert to doubles; the fourth has bunk beds. All four have en-suite showers or baths. The village of Portpatrick, home to Dunskey Golf Club, sits a short distance away and offers a working harbour, sandy beach and waterfront pubs. The Southern Upland Way starts from the cliffs above Portpatrick and runs inland; coastal walks and quieter bays are accessible by foot or car through the Rhins Peninsula and wider Dumfries and Galloway.
