Saffron comes ready for a crowd. The kitchen has everything needed to cook properly—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine—while the dining space and sun room give you room to spread out. A 55-inch TV, Netflix and Sky Sports are there if anyone wants them. Essentials including heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all covered. One dog can come along at no extra charge.
Five bedrooms means genuine flexibility: two have zip-and-link super-kingsize beds that convert to singles, one has a kingsize with an ensuite bathroom and TV, another has a double, and the fifth houses bunk beds plus a sofa bed for extra guests. Four bathrooms means less negotiation over showers. The enclosed garden has a sitting area and barbecue, with parking for four cars. Children's essentials like a travel cot, highchair and stairgate are on hand.
The house overlooks Portpatrick, a working harbour village with shops, restaurants and pubs within easy reach. Dunskey Golf Club is the nearest landmark. The Southern Upland Way long-distance trail starts in Portpatrick itself, offering walks across moorland and coastline. The area attracts walkers and cyclists for its mix of sandy beaches, rocky coves and clifftop paths. Golden eagles, ospreys, red squirrels and pine martens are regularly seen. No smoking inside.

What guests say
Lovely house , really a 9 out of 10 , very specious, great value, large rooms, quiet location, great views from conservatory, some cleaning issues, hairs in bath, shower wouldn't drain which we sorted, master shower faulty. All that said it's well worth a stay and would readily recommend it.
