Darroch

Darroch is a two-bedroom cottage sleeping four, located near the village of Moniaive in Dumfries and Galloway. The whole property is yours alone, and one dog can stay at no extra cost. Everything is on a single level: a living and dining room with woodburner and smart TV, a kitchen equipped for cooking, two bedrooms (one with a 6ft bed, one with a 4ft 6in bed), and a bathroom with bath and shower. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included, along with an initial load of wood for the burner.

The front garden has a patio area with seating, and there is secure bike storage on the property. A pub is within a mile's walk. Moniaive itself hosts events throughout the year and has an active community; the cottage sits on the edge of the village where you can reach countryside walks easily. No smoking indoors.
