The location works well for quiet countryside breaks—you're minutes from Thornhill, a village known for its tree-lined streets and independent shops, and close to Drumlanrig Castle. The wider area offers secluded beaches, harbour towns and gardens, as well as some of Scotland's best stargazing; the night sky here is exceptionally dark and clear. Shops, a pub and restaurants are about three miles away. No smoking.
