Dumfries and Galloway

The Old Stables occupies a working dairy farm in Dumfries and Galloway, where a hot tub for six sits ready on the patio. Four bedrooms sleep ten across a mix of bed sizes: a super kingsize, two kingsize doubles, and a room of four singles. Two bathrooms serve the house, one with a Jacuzzi bath. The ground floor holds an open-plan living space with dining area and kitchen equipped for cooking from scratch, plus a shower room. Essentials including electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels come as standard.
The surrounding land offers brown trout fishing on the owner's stretch of water. Coastal scenery dominates the region—rugged cliffs, sandy beaches sheltered by the Gulf Stream, and nature reserves where seabirds gather on cliff faces during spring and summer. The Southern Upland Way runs nearby for walkers; cyclists find the terrain equally rewarding. Gardens including Glenwha and Logan Botanical Gardens lie within reach. Portpatrick, Sandhead and the Mull of Galloway are local ports and reserves worth visiting. One dog is welcome. The property is non-smoking and can accommodate a highchair for younger guests. Parking is available for three cars.
