Superb. Whilst there is not a huge amount to do in this area of Scotland; I'd recommend Kitchen Coos & Ewes though, it was a great experience, it's beautifully picturesque and the perfect location for long walks and exploring the coastline, or just chilling at your cabin and relaxing with an epic view and endless sky! The cabin is everything you could want; clean and tidy with well thought out touches and each with an individual style of it's own (we stayed at The Fox Den). The hot tub and garden is private and exclusive to each lodge too. The lodge and the whole area is very dog friendly too, which each lodge having a private and secure private garden you can let your dog relax and chill out too. They have extra dog blankets and towels for you to borrow in the Wee Shop on-site too; which also has a selection of books, games and DVD's for you to borrow, as well as local goods to buy. A really impressive and well run set-up that I would whole heartedly recommend.

Fantastic quiet location with epic views to relax. Pod in perfect condition and has everything you'd ever need for your stay. Clean and tidy, hot tub fantastically covered for rainy days. Would highly recommend and will be back again. Excellent for dogs also, each pod fenced in to let me roam free while youre in the tub

Just back from our stay at Galloway Steading. Our accommodation was called The Steading, a large family sized home with absolutely everything you need to make a perfect family holiday. From the moment we arrived, we were relaxed! The hosts have seriously thought of everything and the facilities are excellent, including... Massive hot tub, wood fired clay pizza oven, bbq grill, enclosed garden, private sauna!! And your own bar area, perfect for cocktails. The walks around this area are stunning, we particularly loved the walk along the river (perfect for skimming rocks for the kids/big kids) Our dog also loved going in for a swim, couldn't get her to leave. Our only issue was that we didn't want to leave, 3 days was not enough! Next time we'll be back for longer. Thank you to the amazing hosts, they've done an awesome job here.

It was a truly lovely short break. We booked this accommodation to visit the nearby Kitchen Coos & Ewes. I'm so pleased we did. The accommodation: It was clean, a small kitchen with a hob and oven, and a separate bathroom. There was a smart TV and wifi. The couch was a little beaten down, but not uncomfortable. The star of the show is the private hot tub, ready to go as soon as you lift the lid. A private enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. There was a fire pit for building a fire, and we purchased the logs and kindling along with the s'more kit, which was a lot of fun. The accommodation is a short walk away from the beach, a 10-15 mins walk down a country road, through a field and over a small golf course and seashell paths. The beach was beautiful and tranquil. There is a small, closed-off section of bee hives on the grounds, and the owner of the hives (one of the duo who started The Galloway Steading) happened to be tending to the hives one afternoon of my stay, and I had a really nice talk about bees and beekeeping. I was lucky to see the hives quite active, but during my stay, I only saw 1 bee in the cabin's garden, so there is nothing to fear if I left some items behind by accident, and, for a reasonable fee for postage and time, they are being returned to me by post. There was a wee shop, open 24/7 and ran on honesty. It was easy to pay using PayPal, and you can find a few local goods like soap, honey, and eggs.
