Dumfries and Galloway's coastal strip around Loch Ryan draws walkers and wildlife watchers for its mix of accessible shoreline and working landscape. Loch View sits on Wig Bay Holiday Park, a family-run site where the lodge itself occupies ground-floor space with its own parking and decking. Three bedrooms sleep up to five: a double with ensuite toilet, two singles, and a single, served by one shower room. The open-plan living and dining space has patio doors onto the decking, where outdoor furniture catches the afternoon sun.

The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering, with a gas oven and hob, microwave and full-sized fridge. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included. One dog is welcome. The holiday park itself has shared facilities including a play area for children, and an on-site bar and restaurant where meals can be booked in advance. Loch Ryan's shoreline is immediate—a short walk takes you to The Scar, a sandbank that's home to significant numbers of nesting terns, or round Wig Bay and into Kirkcolm village. In calmer waters, seals and porpoises appear regularly. The property is no-smoking throughout.
