Rowan Cottage is a three-bedroom property sleeping six, located within a mile of Sandhead's seven-mile sandy beach. The whole cottage is yours alone, set in a corner of Scotland where coastal walking meets upland terrain. A mile away are a pub, restaurant and shop. The Mull of Galloway—Scotland's southernmost point—is within reach for days when you want to venture further; seals, minke whales and seabirds are seen regularly from its clifftops. Portpatrick, at the start of the Southern Upland Way, and Stranraer, with its 15th-century Castle of St. John and nearby botanic gardens, both make straightforward day trips.
Everything is on the ground floor. The open-plan living space has a television with Firestick and French doors onto the garden, with the dining and kitchen areas flowing from it. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking—oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washer-dryer included. Three bedrooms comprise one double of 4ft 6in, another double of the same size, and a third with two single beds. Two bathrooms serve the property. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are provided. One dog or cat is welcome. Smoking is not permitted inside.
