Portpatrick Farm Holidays

We had 5 nights staying at this lovely campsite, it was fantastic. Really spacious pitches with own water and shared hook up. Great views of the sea & sheep in the fields. Impeccably clean facilities with the use of 2 excellent strong, hot showers, 2 loos & washing up facilities & washing machine/drier. As mentioned there’s an honesty box with lovely eggs from their chickens. We requested a loaf of bread & it was absolutely delicious. Very very friendly owners. Thank you for a fab stay, it’s a gorgeous spot in a gorgeous area, we’ll definitely be back.

Rarely do you find a CL site where there is nothing that you think could be better done differently. This is definitely one of those. Stunning views (we sat watching the flickering lights on Ireland after the sun set). Spacious pitches. Great facilities (husband says Mira showers are one of the best you can get!) Homemade cakes and jam and fresh farm eggs available. We didn't get a chance to try the home baked bread but I imagine that would be just as good. Friendly owners and great communication. Honestly I can't recommend this site enough. It's a 15 min drive into Portpatrick where there are pubs and restaurants. Plus there's a half mile walk down to the little beach. The site is ideally positioned for exploring the peninsula. The only downside for us is that we didn't book it for longer!

We had an enjoyable week here in our touring caravan. There are grass and gravel pitches, we had our own water tap and power point close by. Make sure you follow the instructions on how to get here as we missed one sign and ending up approaching from the wrong way, lucky our caravan was small enough to do a turn at the junction. The roads are quiet with not many passing places, but we didn't have a problem. The location was ideal for going on the ferry to Belfast, about 30 minutes drive. We normally don't stay at working farms, but this location was just what we were looking for, so lucky we didn't see any thing upsetting. Friendly chickens roam about and they let me have a cuddle. There are 6 medium sized wind turbines, they are turned off over 55 miles per hour, they make a bit of noise, but nothing to annoy us. There are two unisex toilets and showers, very clean, in their own separate little rooms rather than stalls as well as a sink, washing machine and dryer. Don't miss the red honesty box! Eggs, home baking, jam, marmalade and bread to order. The view is amazing, we would definitely come back.

We had a fantastic few days here. Great views over the bay and hills, with sheep all around. Seeing all the lambs playing was so lovely. Kaye and Ian are wonderful hosts, welcomed us and were always on hand if we needed them. Kaye gave us a tour of the farm, and we got the chance to feed their two small cheeky goats, which was a real treat. The lodge was clean and modern with everything we needed. We would love to come again, but for longer next time.
