Treetops Log Cabin is a newly built timber lodge in woodland near Dalbeattie, sleeping six across three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Everything needed for a self-catering stay is provided: the kitchen has an electric oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave; heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included; and the woodburner's initial fuel is supplied. The ground floor layout keeps everything on one level, with an open-plan living space that opens onto decking, a king bedroom with ensuite, a double room, two singles, and a separate shower room.

Outside, the cabin comes with a six-person hot tub, private sauna, and a separate BBQ cabin. There's a terrace with garden furniture, bike storage and parking for three cars. The woodland setting is close to Rockcliffe and Kippford, reachable by forest track in roughly half an hour, and Dalbeattie village is four miles away. The area offers everything from cycling routes through the forests to coastal walks, fishing, golf and water sports; there's also Mabie Farm Park and the Cocoa Bean Chocolate Factory nearby. No smoking is permitted in the property.

What an absolutely amazing place!! We cannot put into words how much we loved our stay. From booking to check in, Sue was on hand to answer any questions we had. The cabin itself is absolutely spotless and exactly as described. We spent the week with red squirrels, a whole variety of birds and even spotted a badger. The hot tub and BBQ hut/sauna made for an even more relaxing and unique stay. Thank you Sue and family for the perfect break.

We visited this cabin as a family of six adults in late March in 2024. The cabin is beautifully finished and furnished, as well as being extremely well-equipped - having been on a few self-catered holidays, we brought a few bits we're used to needing but actually the cabin had it all! A restful and relaxing retreat, we enjoyed sitting in the hot tub listening to nothing but the sounds of nature, as well as a few visits to local areas. There's a great walk just behind the cabin through the woods to a local beach, just unbelievably pretty! We had such a lovely time and we would definitely recommend if you're looking for respite away from the hustle and bustle of life. Thank you so much to the hosts for hosting us and providing us with all the information we could need, as well as a lovely welcome basket.

An absolute gem, the cabin is beautiful, finished to a high spec. Hottub, sauna and BBQ hut brilliant and spotlessly clean. The owners are very friendly, professional and helpful. Goodie basket was filled with lovely treats. Do yourself a favour and book in.
