What visitors say
We don't do camping and have never tried Pod type accommodation, preferring high rated B&Bs or Holiday Cottages, hence for the price we were a bit worried coming here. We chose a Contained Bliss Pod for couples with no pets as it had the kitchen and bathroom amenities we required. What a delight it was! We chose to take our own bedding and towels and used the kettle & microwave for breakfasts. Indoor & outdoor hobs were available but we chose eating out and takeaways which are locally available. The staff are lovely and so helpful and welcoming. The Pod was comfy, warm and clean with a great shower and also an outdoor fire & hot tub. The pods are very well separated on this very Quiet Site hence we were not overlooked and had a stunning view of the forest. Our bikes were safely stored overnight and our rides started from the Pod directly into the forest via a private track. Signposting in the forest is great with access to Dalbeattie and local villages on the shore such as Kippford which are stunning. Definitely lived up to the name Contained Bliss, we really hope to return.

The quiet, relaxed atmosphere of the cabin and surroundings. The wildlife wandering right outside the cabin and the numerous walks available to roam. The cabin was very roomy, clean and well stocked with all the necessary crockery, cutlery etc. The hot tub was the perfect way to finish our day. Hearing nature at night and early morning was so peaceful and we miss it so much. We'd definitely do another stay.

What a fabulous place! We stayed in a stop over pod, the attention to detail is superb - comfy sofa beds, fridge, kettle, heater and our own shower and toilet a short walk away. There was also a large outdoor decking area with sun loungers, table and chairs, under cover cooking area and chimnea. We were able to buy logs etc and even a marshmallow toasting kit in advance, everything was waiting for us when we arrived. We also hired bikes and had a great ride round the forest which is next to the farm. This is camping with a touch of luxury and we loved it, thank you :-)

Communication great. Stayed in Cabin Noir and was so clean, felt brand new. Loved the hot tub. Needed a bike pump one day and within minutes we were given one to borrow. Highly recommend.
