I visited Holywood Bowl Dundee today 16/12/25. The front areas are welcoming and clean. Plenty machines to keep you entertained for an hour or two. Quite a lot of bowling lanes (around 15 I think). Shame the review cant be as good for the toilets. On entrance to the toilets it says they are checked every 30 minutes. Im not saying this isn't true, but there was a huge spillage on the floor between stalls 1 and 2, and urine coating every toilet seat. The first stall also appears to have some dusty/ash looking residue on the seat. The disabled toilet does not lock from the inside, meaning anyone can open the door with a radar key - while youre still doing your business! If these issues were resolved to a high standard and the lock on the disabled fixed, I'd highly recommend coming here.

If you’re looking for a company that can charge you nearly a tenner for absolutely nothing, Hollywood Bowl has it down to a fine art. I phoned to make a booking and the call dragged on for around eight minutes, not because of queues or high demand, but because the person on the other end seemed completely incapable of handling a straightforward request. Slow, confused, and painfully inefficient. The real kicker is that this call cost £9.08. £9.08 for a single, basic phone call that should have taken a couple of minutes at most. Instead, I was left listening to someone fumble their way through the process while the cost quietly racked up. That is not just frustrating, it feels like being fleeced. If your staff are going to be that slow and ineffective, the very least you can do is not charge customers a premium for the privilege of dealing with it. In this day and age, there is no excuse for this. It is a complete joke and leaves a very sour taste before you have even set foot in the place.

Went and gave Hollywood Bowl a try today and got to say I was really impressed. Lanes were great, good service, pool tables and lots of gaming machines. The price wasn't too bad either, will be back plus I won the top score overall.

Had a booking for 10am and turned up about 9:55 and was a bit surprised to see the place closed. 10am came and went and still wasn’t open. Got to 10:05 and still not open. Had to phone number to see if someone was going to let us in but was put through to head office and they had to phone the site to get someone to let us in. Someone eventually opened up, no apology for the lateness or any apparent awareness there might be an issue. Quite unprofessional. Bowling is fine. Gave any food options a swerve and it’s absolutely extortionate.
