About Best Western Queens Hotel

For travellers who want to be within walking distance of Dundee's museums and waterfront without paying for parking, Best Western Queens Hotel offers a practical, well-placed base. It suits couples on a short city break, business visitors needing meeting space, and anyone attending a wedding, given the venue's bridal suite and function facilities.

The hotel occupies a period building with 53 rooms spread across five floors, served by a lift, and rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, free WiFi and room service. Some rooms are more old-fashioned in style and the beds won't suit everyone, but housekeeping keeps them clean and staff are consistently friendly and efficient. Accessible rooms are available, and there's a restaurant and bar on site, along with breakfast, packed lunches and drinks brought to your room.

Beyond the hotel, guests are close to the V&A Dundee and Dundee Science Centre, with the waterfront a short walk away, and golf, fishing and horse riding all available nearby for those wanting to venture further. Free on-site parking makes it a straightforward choice for drivers visiting the city.

Terrible! Sadly, this hotel is run or owned by people who have no clue what this historic building, location and potential is all about. The building could easily be found on the "Scottish Hotels of Distinction" list but its owners clearly don't care. The grand lobby and staircase, huge rooms and high ceilings declare the Winston Churchill history, but the lack of proper Scottish decor, greasy-glass front doors and bar, elevator that smells like a urinal and beds of steel tell the story. This beautiful place on high street needs owners who get it and who care.

-No remote control for the tv in the room so i cant even turn it on.(no buttons on it) I have been told there should be but its not there 😅 - The hairdryer missing the head but I also couldn't dry my hair as the dryer was missing the fuse as well. ( I am waiting for this too) - My room lock has issues. Once works once not. The woman didnt believe me as it worked at her so I just recorded a video about it when it happened again. - The soap bottle in the bathroom got expiry date 2013. This is refillable but I think its mad they cannot change a bottle in 13 years. It has black mold on it!!! One of the worst hotel experience of my life

Next door to a club. The noise was unbelievable. Our room was pounding with bass music way into the small hours. Impossible to sleep. Could actually feel the music vibrating the room. Might as well been trying to sleeping on a dance floor in Ibiza.
