About The Old Palace Lodge
Church Street forms the old heart of Dunstable, and it's here that The Old Palace Lodge makes its home, within easy reach of the town's shops, pubs and restaurants. The setting gives guests a base that feels central without the fuss of a big-town hotel, and free on-site parking and an electric vehicle charge point make arriving by car straightforward.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, and family and accessible rooms are available, with drinks in room and room service on offer for those who'd rather not venture out. Breakfast is served on-site, and there's a restaurant and bar for other meals, with packed lunches available for days out. Guests can also make use of the gym, spa and sauna, while those travelling for work have access to meeting rooms and business services.
The hotel doubles as a wedding venue, with a bridal suite for the occasion, and concierge and laundry services are on hand for practical needs. Nearby, there's a golf course, entertainment, and a good spread of pubs and restaurants, making it a reasonable base for exploring Dunstable and the surrounding Bedfordshire countryside.
Guests consistently praise the friendly and helpful staff and the hotel's pleasant, classic atmosphere. They also appreciate the good value and spacious rooms, with some featuring bathtubs and excellent walk-in showers.
Some reviews mention the hotel can be poorly maintained.
