About Bossington Cottage
A pub and restaurant close by mean guests at Bossington Cottage don't have to travel far for a proper meal, while the cottage itself offers a quiet base in Timberscombe, near Dunster, Somerset. With just two rooms, it suits a small group or family wanting somewhere low-key rather than a large hotel setup.
The cottage has a garden and outdoor seating for relaxing outside, plus a games room for something to do on a quieter evening, and an indoor swimming pool for guests who fancy a swim without leaving the grounds. Reception is staffed around the clock, and pets are welcome, so the trip doesn't need to be planned around leaving a dog behind. Free parking is available on-site, in a car park shared with other cottages, though you can pull up at the cottage itself first to unload before parking up.
The location puts Exmoor National Park and Dunster Castle within easy reach, making it a sensible spot for walking, exploring the coast, or simply using as a base to see this part of Somerset.
What guests say
The only real issue with this cottage was the parking. It was hit and miss if you got a space near the cottage, and even then you had to park near a wall or hedge as the road was narrow. All the rooms were a good size with nicely decorated giving it a real authentic cottage feeling. The shower worked well with good water flow and temperature stability. The kitchen lacked a freezer. The location was spot on.
