Causeway Cottage is a Grade II listed building dating from the 18th century, formerly known as The Packhorse Inn. It stands in Wolsingham, a village in Weardale, County Durham. The whole property is yours for the duration of your stay, with parking for one car on site and additional spaces available on the road nearby.
Downstairs you'll find a living and dining room with a woodburner and smart TV, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge and microwave—and a shower room with heated towel rail. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a kingsize bed, the other a double. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are all included; the woodburner comes with initial logs. There's an enclosed garden with a private wood-fired hot tub, sitting-out area and garden furniture. One well-behaved dog can stay free. The cottage does not allow smoking.
Weardale itself offers walking, and the nearby Weardale Physiotherapy location marks a point of reference in the village. The building's Georgian character and period features make it distinctive among local holiday lets, though access involves a single step to the entrance and three steps down into the garden.
