Chapel Cottage is a traditional stone cottage in Stanhope, a village in the Durham Dales close to Weardale. Refurbished in 2024, it sleeps four across two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom contains the sauna and a circular bath; the second bedroom has bunk beds. Downstairs there is a living room with a smart TV and a kitchen with an electric oven, induction hob and microwave. Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and heating are included. One dog stays free.
The cottage sits on a quiet street with on-road parking. A garden at the back has seating and furniture. Inside, the ground floor is accessed via a single step. The master bedroom upstairs opens onto an ensuite with toilet; there is also a separate shower room with cubicle and toilet. A travel cot is available. The property is non-smoking.
Stanhope has three pubs, a bakery and other shops. The village lies on the River Wear, and Weardale itself is close by for walking and exploring the surrounding countryside.
