Dairy Cottage

County Durham

View on Google Maps

Dairy Cottage is a converted dairy cottage sleeping four in two double bedrooms, each with an ensuite or nearby bathroom. Everything needed for a self-catering stay is provided: the kitchen has an electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge and microwave, so you can cook as much or as little as you choose. Bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included, and there's gas central heating throughout. Parking is on site.

The cottage sits on the edge of Consett, surrounded by rolling countryside and set beside the owners' home within their 4-acre grounds. A beck runs through the garden, and you have access to the garden furniture. A 20-minute riverside walk brings you into Durham city centre, where Durham Cathedral and Castle are UNESCO World Heritage sites; the city's university dates back to the 13th century. Pubs and shops are within half a mile. The cottage is no-smoking.
