About Travelodge Durham
Travelodge Durham suits travellers who want a straightforward, no-frills base rather than a destination in itself - budget-minded visitors, families on a short break, or anyone passing through the North East who needs a reliable bed for the night. With 95 rooms spread across two floors, it's well set up for groups and solo travellers alike, and pets are welcome too.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and drinks facilities, and accessible rooms are available for those who need them. A restaurant on site serves breakfast, and there's free on-site parking allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, plus an electric vehicle charge point for those driving in. It's a hotel built around convenience rather than extras, which keeps costs down.
The location on Station Lane puts Durham Cathedral, the university and the city centre attractions within easy reach, and there are pubs, bars and restaurants nearby for evening options. Golf and fishing are also available nearby for those wanting to fill a day outside the city. It's a sensible choice for anyone prioritising location and price over polish.
