Etherley Dene Farmhouse

County Durham

View on Google Maps

Etherley Dene sits in open countryside near Bishop Auckland, surrounded by mature gardens and accessible to local river walks, cycle tracks and rural activities. This substantial stone-built farmhouse dates from the 1700s and has grown organically over three centuries into a rambling 5000 sq ft property spread across three floors, with oak flooring, wooden beams and period features throughout—notably a dining room with a French marble fireplace and working log fire.

Eight bedrooms and four bathrooms accommodate up to 19 guests. The ground floor holds a spacious living room with 50" TV, that dining room, a kitchen equipped for cooking (electric oven, induction hob, Aga, dishwasher), utility areas, a snug with woodburner and a shower room. Upstairs are six more bedrooms ranging from super king to single beds, plus two further bathrooms. A converted stable houses a small gym with cardio and strength equipment. The enclosed garden includes a summerhouse, two barbecues and a hot tub (available by arrangement). Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and electricity are all included. The property is yours alone for the duration, with ample private parking and bike storage on site. No smoking throughout.
