Glen Cottage

County Durham

Glen Cottage is a recently renovated stone terrace end property in Mickleton, a village in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The main house contains a dual-aspect living and dining room with a smart TV, a kitchen with an electric oven and induction hob, a double bedroom with ensuite shower, and a second bedroom. Connected via a porch is a barn annexe with exposed beams, housing two single beds and a family bathroom with bath and shower. The property sleeps six across the three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking, with a dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer alongside the main appliances. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity are included. An enclosed lawned garden with patio and furniture wraps around the property, and there is private parking for six cars. Children under eight should not sleep unaccompanied in the barn annexe bedroom, given the distance from the main bedrooms. No smoking throughout the property.

Mickleton has a pub serving bar food and an acclaimed restaurant on the doorstep. High Force, England's largest waterfall, lies close by, and the Pennine Way runs nearby for walking. A supermarket is two miles away in Middleton-in-Teesdale.
