Riverside Cottage is a ground floor property in Stanhope, the market town that sits at the edge of Weardale. You step straight into a spacious open-plan living area where the kitchen, dining space and sitting room flow together—useful for cooking while keeping an eye on everyone else, and for gathering in the evening. One bedroom has a zip-and-link super king bed (which can be split into two singles), the other is a double. The bathroom is generously sized with a bath and shower. Everything runs on electricity, and the essentials like bed linen, towels and wifi are covered.

French doors from the main bedroom lead out to an enclosed patio and garden, which looks up towards the castle on the hillside behind. The property sits just beside the River Wear, with a established riverside path for walking right on the doorstep. Stanhope itself is walkable—there's a pub within a mile, and the town centre has cafés, shops and the Durham Dales Centre. This location works well for exploring Weardale and the surrounding fell country, whether on foot or by bike. One pet stays free. The cottage is not available to smokers.
