The School House

The School House is a single-bedroom cottage in Blackhill, near Consett in County Durham, with the essentials fully covered. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included, so you arrive to a ready-to-go space. The whole property is yours alone, and one well-behaved pet stays free.

Ground-floor living means everything is on one level. The living room has a sofa bed (sleeping two), Freeview TV and DVD player. The kitchen is properly equipped with an electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and washing machine—you can cook from scratch or manage a week's laundry without leaving the cottage. The bedroom has a super king bed, and there's a shower room with cubicle shower. Outside, an enclosed patio and lawned garden give you private outdoor space, and a bike store is available. On-road parking is provided.

The Scotch Arms is within a mile. The location suits walkers (the Pennine Way runs through the locality) and anyone exploring County Durham or heading toward the Lake District. No smoking inside, please.
